We’ve all heard it before. “If you don’t like your job you can just quit and go find another.” I heard it the other day. It has been around for more than 100 years. It’s surprising to me how many people, in this day and age, still fall for it. This is just what they want you to believe, the corporations. It’s called conditioning. It’s like the husband who convinces his wife that she deserves to be beaten every so often and the wife accepting it as normal.
Never mind that the jobs aren’t there. Never mind that at the end of the Bush presidency we were losing 800,000 jobs a month. Sure the unemployment rate has fallen to 6.3% but this doesn’t include the millions of people whose unemployment insurance has run out.
